    Can`t sign into JPN Xbox live profile

    We had a Japanese Xbox LIVE Profile and a few weeks back it started asking for us to update our security details. When we tried to do that it wouldn`t accept the email address so we were`nt able to log back in.

    I then decided to set up a new Japanese profile and added some MS points to it. A few days later and its asking to update the security details but completely fails to recognize the email address I used.

    Anyone have the foggiest whats going on?? I want my points back!

    Afraid I don't know the answer - I've had the same security hoo-hah with my UK account though (where I used my mobile number) and it's made me paranoid about signing into my Japanese account for fear of them kicking off the same process and then not allowing a UK number / not liking the email address. I'm wondering if signing up a second Japanese mail account might help? If you do find an answer please let post back to confirm - I really do not want to lose access to my J-account given it's had a lot of content bought on it.

      Perhaps trying signing into the account via one of the other microsoft websites such as Xbox.com or billing.microsoft.com

      Basically any account should have the main email address attached to the account, which you log in with

      and a secondary email account for verification.

        I've noticed the same problem with my UK account, it keeps asking me to update my security questions desipte them being up to date. I found that if you just disconnect from XBLA when the message appears then reconnect it goes away.

        Have looked at the Xbox support fourm yesterday, it appear MS have screwed up big and it's looking like the retirement of MSN messager is causing this issue, with little way to fix it at the moment. Many user suggested deleting then re-download accounts but a number of users report if you did that you couldn't then download the account you just deleted.

        In short this is what happens when you combine different software programs then decide to shut one down. I expect a full on fix will appear as a 360 update in the next few weeks.

        I think we may want to annoy Major Nelson or Xbox support with this issues.

          This might explain it. I`ll try disconnecting when it appears and get back on whether it works for me. I tried logging in via xbox.com but it still doesnt recognise the email for either account. I thought it might just be the Japanese service region blocking but a VPN didn`t work either.

            I get this message too but if you choose to cancel it signs you in anyway (or at least it does for me) so now I just always cancel...

            The msg is REALLY annoying though, I went through to process, sorted it all, signed in again and got the same f'ing msg!
